About Us

IN-EDIT is a music documentary festival with new international and Dutch music documentaries. Next to the screening of the films, the festival has live performances by matching musicians, Q&A’s with artists and directors, and industry meetings arranged for and by professionals.

In 2003 the first IN-EDIT International Music Documentary Film Festival took place in Barcelona. The festival was born from two passions: the one for music and the one for film. At the moment, IN-EDIT has grown into an international music documentary festival with editions in more than 10 countries.

The festival in the Netherlands is organised by Cassette Productions and founded by Carla Navarro and Anna Chvartchenko. In the passing years, the IN-EDIT team has grown into a professional family of 10+ people with a passion for film and music.

The first Dutch edition, held from 18 to 20 May 2018, took place in cinema Het Ketelhuis, with after-parties in Pacific Parc at the Westergasterrein in Amsterdam. The second edition also took place in Het Ketelhuis and Westerpark from 4 to 7 April 2019. Our third edition was planned for 13 to 17 May 2020, but unfortunately had to be postponed due to the circumstances of that year. Now the next edition will kick off on 16 – 20 June 2021 in Amsterdam and following in Utrecht, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, Nijmegen, Den Bosch, Groningen and The Hague.

Throughout the year IN-EDIT organises special screenings of extraordinary music documentaries all over the Netherlands.
