The Synthetikoi, having the music microbe in their family and influenced by the pioneers of electronic music, the Germans Kraftwerk and the French new-age legend Jean Michel Jarre, who dominated the 1970s, are trying to create their own personal sound.
The Synthetikoi are the first Greek band to experiment and deal with electronic sound. They were founded in 1985 in a studio in Drapetsona and after 5 years they released their unique LP in just 500 copies. Several people searched for them and even more discovered them in recent years through the internet. The members of the band – brothers Dionysis and Apostolis Averginos – return stronger to pick up the thread and the meaning of music from where they left off when they decided to dissolve the band.
